Brazil Day in Frederick- Festival of Hope!

Sunday, August 29th, 2010

The fourth of its kind, the 2010 BRAZIL DAY came to us attired in a new humanitarian garment – a FESTIVAL of HOPE! Created and produced for FSCA-Brazil Division by MissionServ International Aid, Inc., it honored the official sisterhood between Frederick, Maryland and Aquiraz, State of Ceará – Brazil, and brought to our region a wonderful spectacle of culture and sports on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Frederick County Fairgrounds.

Proceeds from the event will help build a community training facility to enable the locals in this small Brazilian town to become more self-sufficient in their lives … what a great cause!

The sponsors and volunteers alike helped to bring the warmth, charm, emotions, and passion of the magical culture of the friendly country of Brazil – my home country.  It was a great day to spend with my family – with people, crafts, singing, dancing, and of course great food (see below)!
