Evoke dc Tasting

Tuesday, May 8th, 2012

It was a pleasure meeting the Evoke team today at their beautiful offices in Silver Spring, Maryland.

We had the opportunity to provide a tasting of our food and introduce Superb Cuisines to one of the best event planning companies in DC.  Our chef Thierry Sanchez prepared six unique courses enjoyed by all. Check out the pics below and the response from Jodi Moraru to my follow up!

It was a pleasure to meet you as well and you clearly have passion for what you do as well as an understanding of using only the best ingredients as evident by the superb tasting we experienced. Your company name is quite appropriate.

We look forward to working with you in the future and many thanks to you for taking time out of your busy schedule to meet the EVOKE team.”

Warmest Regards, Jodi Moraru-Evoke DC

ISES-DC Annual Gala at Gannett/USA TODAY McLean VA

Sunday, March 25th, 2012

The Greater Washington, DC chapter of the International Special Events Society (ISES DC) marked the 17th year for its prestigious Capital Awards Gala tonight at the breathtaking Gannett/USA TODAY Headquarters in McLean VA. Established to recognize and honor the best of the metro DC special events industry, the Gala is produced with the support of generous sponsors and attended by ISES members and their guests.

This celebratory event kicked off at the curb where we’re greeted by valet before we walked the red carpet to the music  of Dixieland band, inside the contemporary event site , we enjoyed cocktails, a specialty drink, passed hors D’oeuvres and music  by a jazz quartet while networking with colleagues prior to the awards being presented. It was an occasion to celebrate the men and women, who do so much to make Washington, DC’s event business successful and to honor a new class of awards winners.  The high light of the evening was an Award Ceremony in which 64 award nominees competed for 18 awards. After the ceremony we enjoyed  three sumptuous dinner buffets while enjoying dinner music in a club lounge setting. It was an exciting and relaxed atmosphere to everyone that culminate with a dessert buffet and dancing at an After Party in the First Amendment Dining Room which was transformed into a club with a creative decor.

We all departed the gala with a silver swag bag of goodies and memories of a truly special event!

Washington dc wedding reception

Saturday, November 12th, 2011

The color red is often associated with love and romance. What could be a better color to accent your wedding décor? I’m a huge fan of back, white and red . People that know me can tell… my car is black with red seats, our company logo, our trucks, business card and etc….

A black, white and red wedding theme is very elegant and lends itself to a wide variety of decorating ideas.

For Laura and Jay wedding we Incorporated those colors into the centerpieces at guest and bridal tables in several ways. Used elaborate floral arrangements, candles and more to decorate the tables.

30th Wedding Anniversary-Washington DC

Thursday, October 27th, 2011

An anniversary is a time to celebrate the joys of today, the memories of yesterday, and the hopes of tomorrow.

It’s the celebration of love, trust, partnership, tolerance and tenacity.  The order varies for any given year.

This couple decided to celebrate it with a small, intimate dinner reception for their close friends and family.

Happy Anniversary Mark & Ann!

I love this table setting...the acrylic chairs bring so much charming adding a contemporary look to a formal table

The Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington Silver Gala at Fannie Mae

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

Superb Cuisines has been working with the American Samaritan Ministry on their annual fundraising event for the past three years.  This year, however, was even more special because they celebrated their 25th anniversary with a Silver Gala at Fannie Mae.

Twenty-five years ago, 12 parishes from the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia decided to combine their strength to serve the poor and homeless just as the good Samaritan ministered to his neighbor lying beaten by the side of the road.  What these 12 parishes started 25 years ago has blessed thousands of lives. Over the course of a quarter century, the Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington has helped tens of thousands of people who are homeless and others in need of a chance in their lives.

NMS Dinner Reception at NRECA-Arlington VA

Monday, October 18th, 2010

Today I learned a lot about the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMS).  Whether you have MS, or care about someone who does, finding the right information is important, and that’s what NMS is all about.  Learn the facts about MS: what it is, what it is not, what the symptoms are, and how it’s diagnosed and treated.

Superb Cuisines was pleased to help to support their dinner reception held at the NRECA in Arlington, VA.

Help create a world free of MS.  To learn more about how you can help, please contact the National Capital Chapter at (202) 296-5363, option 2, or
