It’s Summer…Aloha! Hawaiian Luau

Tuesday, June 26th, 2012

It’s summer, and a perfect time to throw an outdoor party and why not a Hawaiian Luau party. Tiki Torch-lit, grass skirts, exotic foods, wild drums and great people, so let’s get started and really top things off at the NRECA Board Summer Luau Reception where we used tropical plants, flowers and a variety of fruits and, of course a Tiki Bar and the Travelling Bean did an outstanding job with their frozen margarita/daiquiri drinks.

Summer Wedding Reception

Sunday, May 27th, 2012

It’s summer…. when the season simply calls for an outdoor wedding. If you are one of those couples who have decided to include the elements of sun, sand and surf to your special day,let the beach theme inspire you. White would be a great color as your primary motif since it contrasts beautifully with the surrounding sky. Add tropical flowers, stringed seashells and corals to your decoration. Decorate the tables and have centerpieces that correspond with the beach theme as well.

Picnic in the Park-McLean VA

Thursday, April 26th, 2012

Spring time is upon us and the weather can be so gorgeous.Today we catered a spring picnic party for PS Business Park and Fanelli McClain in McLean VA and our client is saying all on the message below to us

Hi Keula,

“As usual, your catering and décor were a hit last night at our “Picnic in the Park” Event. Thank you so much for all of the hard work and great cuisine that you provided. Everyone loved it, and the Mac & Cheese was definitely a hit like you said it would be :-) … your staff was beyond amazing and I don’t know what we would’ve done without them and your assistance. You’re always a pleasure to work with and you consistently exceed my expectations. I am looking forward to our next opportunity to work together which will be our 7 Deadly Sins event in the Fall. I will be sure to send you that date as soon as we determine it.

Thanks again for everything and I will be in touch!”

Fourth of July!

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

It’s summer. It’s hot! Fourth of July is the biggest summer holiday and it’s right around the corner. America’s Independence Day is a traditional red, white and blue celebration which usually includes foods with an outdoor flavor followed by bright fireworks at night. So enjoy the holiday! It is the love of country that has lighted for each of us and that keeps glowing the holy fire of patriotism.

It’s Summer time….

What is one to say about June, the time of perfect young summer, the fulfillment of the promise of the earlier months, and with as yet no sign to remind one that its fresh young beauty will ever fade.  ~Gertrude Jekyll

Ah, summer, what power you have to make us suffer and yet like you so much.  It’s summer time in Washington DC, everybody wants to enjoy the outdoors. A perfect time to have a gathering with friends, have a summer cook out, picnic, graduation party and yes … why not get married?

It’s Graduation Party Season!

Monday, May 31st, 2010

Speaking of Summertime – I can’t forget to mention all the summer and outdoor events. Everybody wants to find a reason to celebrate it!!! Of course graduation parties are happening right now and yesterday Superb Cuisines catered a graduation party for 120 people. It was such great event – the weather was nice – great food – and our client and his guests were very (very) happy.

Kudos to our chef and all the kitchen staff and off course to Mariela and Victor for doing such a nice job setting up and taking care everything during the event. Check our client testimonial below.

“Keula, The party was wonderful.  Our guests really did enjoy the food. They especially liked the chicken skewers, fresh fruit, burgers, and of course the delicious baked goods. Overall, the party was a success and we all had an enjoyable time. Thank you for your support. Have a nice holiday. Ken & Beth Koeritzer

Wow … Summer is Finally Here!

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

Whew … finally!  I can’t believe summer is finally here after such long winter.  Today the weather feels like Brazil to me :-)

Superb Cuisines is in charge of the snack bars for two Montgomery County swimming pools – located in Germantown and Poolsville, MD.  I guess everybody like me was missing Summer because the pools were packed today – to the point where they would not let anyone else in!  Great to see all the activity at the pools … my recommendation – get their early when they open again next Saturday, June 5th!
